//For HVAC Companies
Be the HVAC company
they find when the system fails.
When a system fails, the search is local and urgent. That does not mean every HVAC company needs the same mix of local SEO, Local Services Ads and Google Ads. We look at the market, capacity, job mix and current lead flow first, then decide what has a job to do.
//Who this is for
Best fit for an operating HVAC company with a defined service area, capacity to take more work and budget set aside to act on the plan. If the company is still being formed, we are probably early.
//WHAT THE DATA SAYS
Where marketing usually breaks.
HVAC is a high-stakes local purchase, but the right marketing depends on the work and capacity behind it. These are category facts, not a diagnosis of your company.
Heating and cooling is a major energy decision.
The U.S. Department of Energy says heating and cooling buildings accounts for around 35% of all energy consumption, the largest share of any end use.
U.S. Department of EnergyThe efficiency language changed.
DOE changed residential HVAC testing and efficiency nomenclature in 2023, replacing SEER/HSPF labels with SEER2/HSPF2 under the updated test procedures.
U.S. Department of EnergyHVAC is eligible for Google Local Services Ads.
Google lists HVAC among eligible home-service categories. Local Services Ads are billed on leads rather than ordinary ad clicks, subject to eligibility and verification requirements.

- 02
We find the leak
We compare demand with capacity, the path from search to call, lead handling and what can actually be tied to booked work. More calls than you can staff is not a win.

//Common questions
Things we get asked first.
What decides which companies show up in Google's local results?
Google publishes three factors: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well a listing matches what somebody searched for. Distance is how far the business is from the searcher, which nobody can change. Prominence is how well known a business is, which Google says draws on information across the web. Google does not publish a weighting between the three.
Do reviews affect where a company appears in local results?
Google says review count and rating can contribute to local prominence, which is one of the three factors behind local results. What Google does not publish is how much weight reviews carry, or any separate credit for how recent they are. Anyone quoting a specific formula is guessing.
What are Local Services Ads and how does the billing work?
Local Services Ads are Google's pay-per-lead format for local service businesses. Google charges for the lead rather than for the click, and it can include calls and messages. Which categories are available, what verification is required and how leads are credited vary by market, and Google publishes the current requirements in its Local Services Ads documentation.
What is a Google Business Profile?
It is the free listing that places a business in Google Maps and the local results, carrying hours, photos, services, and reviews. For many local businesses more people see the profile than ever reach the website.
Does ranking in AI search need special markup?
No. Google's guidance on its AI features says the same fundamentals that apply to Search apply there, and that no special markup, file or schema is required to be eligible. The work is the same work: pages that answer the question, clear information, and sources that cite you.
