//For Dental Practices

Marketing for the practice
you actually want to run.

One practice wants more new patients. Another wants a different treatment mix. Another is busy but cannot tell which marketing is paying for itself. Knowing dentistry helps us ask better questions. It does not tell us the answer before we see the practice.

Current HIPAA training certificates

Mining Wells maintains current HIPAA Compliance Training certificates for both founders through HIPAATraining.us. Jessica and Ben renew their training annually, and they are the people who stay on your account.

We sign BAAs when required

When our work makes Mining Wells a business associate, we sign the appropriate Business Associate Agreement.

We do not certify your practice's compliance or replace your privacy counsel. Anything requiring a legal judgment goes to your counsel before it ships.

//Who this is for

For an operating dental practice with an established patient base, something you want to improve, and budget set aside to act on the plan. If the practice is still being formed, we are probably early.

//No preset package

Your practice decides the plan.

Two dental practices in the same city can need completely different work. We look at what you want to change, what the practice can realistically absorb, what patients already see, what you have tried, and what the numbers can prove. Then we recommend the work. Same industry. Not the same prescription.

From zero to 406 ranking keywords.

For Method of Beauty, a physician-led med spa in Westlake Village, we expanded visibility beyond the practice name. The result: 138 non-brand terms in Google's top three, plus Meta clicks that cost 60% less than the average advertiser pays.

What it takes to be the first answer in AI search.

More people now ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity who to trust. Here is how a technology company became the first name all three gave, in four months.

//Before we build the plan

Give us the useful part first.

A few answers give Jessica or Ben enough context to know what to look at. They do not generate an automatic recommendation.

Question 1 of 3

What are you trying to change?

//How we work

We diagnose before we prescribe.

  1. 01

    Start with the practice

    You talk with Jessica or Ben about what you want to change, what you have already tried, where the practice has capacity and where the numbers stop making sense.

  2. 02

    We find the leak

    We look at the marketing and the handoff around it. That can include search, the site, reviews, calls, booking, follow-up, systems and measurement. If the expensive problem is operational rather than marketing, we will say so.

  3. 03

    You get the plan

    We put the work in order: what we would change first, what can wait and where we would not spend yet.

Starts with a short founder conversation. No prewritten dental package.

//Who you work with

The people you meet are the people who stay.

Jessica and Ben stay on the account. The work is not handed to an account manager after the sale. Reporting exists to help decide what happens next. Ongoing work is month to month.

//Common questions

Things we get asked first.

What is a Business Associate Agreement?

A BAA is the written contract HIPAA generally requires when a covered entity gives a business associate access to protected health information for covered services. It sets out the permitted uses, the safeguards and the other obligations each side takes on.

What counts as protected health information in dental marketing?

Protected health information is individually identifiable health information protected by HIPAA. In dental marketing, even an identifiable patient photo, or the plain fact that someone is a patient, can be protected information.

Do dental practices need permission to use patient photos in marketing?

HIPAA-covered dental practices generally need a valid written authorization before using identifiable patient photos in marketing. The American Dental Association publishes a sample authorization form for using patient information in marketing.

What determines which dental practices appear in Google's local results?

Google says local results are mainly based on relevance, distance and prominence. It does not publish a weighting formula for how those three are combined.

Do reviews affect local visibility?

Google says review count and positive ratings can contribute to local prominence. Reviews are one signal among several, not a guarantee of ranking.
