Jessica Wells
Co-Founder
//About Jessica
She does not wait for playbooks. She writes them.
Jessica founded Mining Wells in 2019 and has spent more than a decade in marketing and growth, with over 14 years of sales behind it, working with everyone from startups landing their first customers to established companies scaling past their first $10M. She is a four-time founder herself, so she has made the same hard calls her clients are making.
She grew one client from $5 million to $20 million in annual revenue, across three locations and more than 60,000 customers. She took another from page three of Google to the top three for over 300 keywords. She built a $7 million sales pipeline in under three months for a digital product agency that works with household-name brands. She took a brand-new AI startup from invisible online to the #1 recommendation inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude for its category. And she engineered the viral strategy that turned Body Juice, a Costa Mesa juice bar, into the place celebrities lined up for, growing its customer base by 600%.
Before agency life, Jessica was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, assigned to the Office of Head Start within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she managed over $8.6 billion in grant funding and rolled out an electronic filing system adopted across the entire Region IX office. The discipline survived the consulting years. The bureaucracy did not.
In 2016 she was appointed U.S. Spokesperson for Homelessness after founding the first government-sponsored homeless outreach program in Region IX, work featured in the federal newsletter published by the White House.
She taught herself to code while building her own AI SaaS in 2024, writing her own data scrapers along the way. The habit carries into client work. Every recommendation is scoped to what the team can actually ship, and measured against the metrics that fit the stage of the business, goals she maps with each client in the first month. A pre-revenue startup and a scaling company are not chasing the same number, and she will tell you straight which targets are realistic and which are fantasy.
“I think in systems. I look for marketing bugs the way an engineer looks for code bugs.”

Ben Wells
Co-Founder
//About Ben
The executive operator. He runs the accounts, the deals, and the business itself.
Ben is a Co-Founder of Mining Wells and the executive who runs the business of the agency. He manages client accounts, structures deals and partnerships, and oversees the finance, operations, and agreements behind every engagement. It is the reason Mining Wells runs like a company and not a freelancer collective: proposals move fast, contracts are clean, and every account has an executive who answers for it.
And he is no stranger to the marketing itself. Ben designs email campaigns, shapes creative and design direction, and works the strategy side of accounts. He is good at finding the question underneath the question: what the buyer actually cares about, where trust is breaking down, what part of the offer is unclear, and which small move could create the fastest proof.
Ben has founded four companies, including Body Juice, the popular Costa Mesa juice bar that drew a steady line of celebrities through its doors, an AI SaaS, and a nonprofit that fought human trafficking. At Body Juice he was Chief Operating Officer as well as Co-Founder: he raised the investor funding, built the supply chain, ran payroll, and managed the staff, and when the customer base grew 600%, it was his operation that absorbed that growth without breaking.
Through all of it, Ben has been the one running operations. He is rather amazing at it.

About Mining Wells
We're on a mission to fix bad marketing.
Maybe:
- You are spending thousands on marketing tools, ads, and your website, with zero revenue increase to show for it.
- Every campaign you have tried gets minimal results.
- You have a great product that nobody seems to find.
- You are getting interest, but it never converts to a sale.
- You have a low retention rate.
- You have been paying a marketing agency for over a year and have not seen results.
You are not alone. Many founders and leaders live with the results of bad marketing without ever finding the reason.
And often that is because it can be many reasons. Sometimes it is the wrong ICP, sometimes the wrong messaging, sometimes the wrong targeting chasing impressions.
We are here to take the hard guesswork out and provide that clarity before it is too late.
At Mining Wells, we help founders and leaders grow their businesses the right way.
